    The Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever are similar in their appearance. Both breeds are medium to large dogs, but Labradors are usually slightly bigger. Both are great with children with their affectionate, sociable, outgoing and eager-to-please personalities. Goldens have a long coat and Labradors have a much shorter coat.

To become a registered breeder, the applicant has to have their facility inspected by a Dogs NSW / DOGS AUSTRALIA representative and also undertake their examinations to prove their competence in the understanding of conformation, feeding, health, care and the understanding of their code of ethics, before they can apply for a Prefix.

    Any breaches can result in penalties and/or suspension. This ensures that by dealing only with a Registered Breeder like Trueclass your pup will be sound and healthy.

    DOGS AUSTRALIA, formerly the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC), is the only internationally recognised registry in Australia able to issue certified pedigrees for purebred dogs that are recognised by state governments and local councils. All Dogs NSW breeders must abide by their code of ethics.

    Dogs NSW registered breeders are bound by a strict code of ethics, covering responsible dog ownership and breeder responsibilities relating to the keeping, welfare, breeding and selling of dogs. Their code of ethics ensures that you will receive a healthy, happy pup from Trueclass. Unregistered breeders like puppy farmers, puppy mills and backyard breeders, do not undertake these rigorous health tests, or go through any process of providing papers, genetically testing parents, eyes, hearts or hip examinations and there is no one inspecting their breeding facilities or compliance or their code of ethics.

  • No. Trueclass usually doesn’t select pups or allow customers to select until they are 6 weeks of age. Through high quality breeding and Trueclass’s keen eye and only breeding from exceptional genetics, a sound litter have very similar temperaments and looks. This is always the aim when breeding. It’s often difficult to select a puppy as they are all as cute and lovely as each other. Sometimes customers have a colour preference and that influences their selection. If there is a noticeably more outgoing or a quieter puppy we always recommend the best match up of each pups personality for each family so both owner and pups are matched as perfectly possible.

  • Yes all Trueclass pups come with original registered pedigree certificate (registration papers) issued by DOGS AUSTRALIA. All litters should be registered with the controlling body of the State in which they were born. This organisation will supply the original registered pedigree certificate (registration papers).

    This certificate is your pup’s birth certificate and will prove that your puppy is a pedigree purebred dog. Your pedigree will have your pups individual microchip number and an individual registration number on their certificate stamped with the DOGS AUSTRALIA logo.

    Vaccination and microchip papers are issued on seperate documents. If a puppy is only vaccinated and microchipped without pedigree papers, your puppy is not registered and many unregistered breeders can only provide vaccination and a microchip number. At Trueclass you will receive all 3 documents with guarantee your puppy is a pedigree purebred dog, registered with DOGS AUSTRALIA.

  • Males and females are very similar in temperaments and both make wonderful companions and family pets. Males are usually larger than females. Females who are not desexed will come into heat yearly and can be desexed if this creates any problems.

  • Yes! Only Dogs with sound hips and elbows are used for breeding. Trueclass has both parents Hips and Elbows x-rayed by Veterinarians, who then sends those scans to a Specialist Orthopaedic Veterinarian. Hip and Elbow Dysplasia occurs when the joints are not properly formed, leading to arthritis and degenerative joint disease later in life. Hip and elbow dysplasia has many causes but one of the major ones is genetic.

  • Trueclass specialises in breeding world class purebred Labradors and Golden Retrievers. Only breeding from parents that are clear from all know hereditary diseases, with outstanding pedigrees.

    This ensures that all their puppies are clear from all known hereditary diseases.

    Both parents are also hip and elbow x-rayed to ensure they are not affected by Hip or Elbow Dysplasia, as this disorder has a large genetic influence. These x-rays are forwarded to veterinarians specialising in these vital joints. All health tests are preformed and all written reports are sent to Trueclass, by Specialists in Genetics, Joints, Cardiology and Ophthalmology.

  • Yes, all Trueclass puppies will be microchipped before registration with the State canine controlling body. Microchipping is a permanent positive identification. Trueclass puppies will be microchipped before the it leaves our care to go to their forever home at 8+ weeks.

  • A pedigree proves that your dog is a legitimate purebred. A pedigree is like a dogs birth certificate and will show a 3 generation family tree. DOGS AUSTRALIA / Australian National Kennel Council Ltd (ANKC) is the ONLY internationally recognised registry in Australia able to issue certified pedigrees for purebred dogs and the only recognised pedigrees with state governments and local councils.

  • Yes all Trueclass puppies are vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian between 6-7 weeks of age. Trueclass will provide you with the recommended vaccination schedule when you collect your puppy. Trueclass puppies are dewormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age. Trueclass will advise you on the recommended worming schedule before your puppy leaves their care, so you can continue to deworm and care for your puppy until you see your vet which is usually at their 12 week for their second vaccination. Trueclass recommends that you consult with your vet regularly to discuss ongoing heart, gastrointestinal worming and your pups ongoing vaccination program.

  • Purchasing a puppy is a long term investment and they will be a part of your life for a long time. Ensuring your puppy is healthy, rather than having longterm veterinary expenses is well worth your initial investment.

  • Trueclass are selective to whom they sell their puppies to and it’s important that all Trueclass pups to go to loving homes.     A pups temperament is more important than it’s colour or gender and should always be a priority, however Trueclass will always try to provide your preferred colour and temperament that you desire. Trueclass Labradors are yellow or black. Trueclass Golden Retrievers vary in many shades of creams and different shades of gold, from light gold, medium gold and dark golden colours. Many pups are born much lighter and a good indication on their adult colour is their ear colour as a puppy.

  • Yes we welcome customers to visit their puppy around 6 weeks of age. Trueclass will send you photos and videos of the litter before 6 weeks so you can enjoy and see the pups from the litter.

  • A prefix gives registered breeder like Trueclass the right to breed and register puppies with DOGS AUSTRALIA / ANKC. Trueclass is their kennel name and is what all their Retrievers are bred and registered under. A prefix is a unique identifier of each dog breeder. Trueclass kennel prefix also becomes the start of the registered pups pedigree name.

    For example a few of our Retrievers are named Trueclass - Esmeralda Rose, Trueclass - Willow Skyler and Trueclass - Yogi Bear. You do not have to use their registered name as their call name. Trueclass is happy to allow puppy owners to select a puppies registered name following their official Prefix, if the name hasn’t already been registered. Many pets have completely different registered names to their call name and some customers love to have their call name as their registered name if possible. By speaking with Trueclass they can advise you if your name is available. Trueclass register all pups usually around 7 weeks of age.

  • Yes, Trueclass is a member of DOGS NSW / DOGS AUSTRALIA. Breeders who are members of Dogs NSW, Dogs SA, Dogs Qld, Dogs Victoria, Dogs WA, Dogs NT, Dogs ACT or Dogs Tasmania and bound by their Code of Ethics.
